American manufacturing used to lead the world in style and innovation. No where was that styling so iconic than in American automobile manufacture. As the country came of age, it embarrassed the idea of freedom of movement that the car symbolized. The vast nation was our for the taking and the car allowed us to embrace its expanse and beauty. As a post-industrial nation, we try to make things again, but our footing and in a world economy and the realities of environmental degradation set in, we look back at this past golden age and marvel at the hope and optimism it symbolized.

Franklin, based out of Syracuse New York, it was a luxury line from the 1920’s that did not survive the depression.
